“What I have been able to understand is that almost all of the youth have the ability to be self-sufficient through their own knowledge and skills that they already possess. I have also seen that there is no on size fits all approach on how to assist a homeless youth in getting off the street, and often they are the expert at their own success. Although service providers have often been linked to much of the success of youth getting off the streets, my experience has helped me see that their own personal efforts in facing societal barriers should not be discredited.”
