Engaging Youth, Engaging Community
April 26, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - April 27, 2018 @ 8:00 pm
“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats its children.”
– Nelson Mandela
For children who find themselves outside of traditional supports, the community must be there for them. The Doorway offers this opportunity for community people to help!
The Doorway is hosting a community conversation April 26-27 (after work), to hear new research about how vital community people are to young people at risk. The human process is critical to young people learning how to know themselves, how they fit, and how to navigate society.
Linda Liebenberg will share her international and current research and learning. The insight of her observations will be our opportunity to consider and explore challenges and exchange thoughts for our own city. One of the surprises for many is that young people are consistent all over the world! We are all living a human process. Come to listen and think with us.
